ADHESIVE

The contract specifies the procurement of a gray/grey solid paste adhesive in 2.8-ounce tubes, identified by NSN 8040-01-685-5306 and part numbers 9367 and RTV157, supplied by MOMENTIVE PERFORMANCE MATERIALS INC. and HUGHES CO INC. The product is classified as a Type I (Code H) item with a non-extendable shelf life of 12 months and must be stored between 60-80 degrees Fahrenheit. Suppliers are required to comply with federal hazard communication standards, submitting Safety Data Sheets and compliant Hazard Communication Standard labels per 29 C.F.R. 1910.1200 prior to award, along with employee training on these requirements. Packaging must adhere to MIL-STD-2073-1E and MIL-STD-129, with special marking code 32 indicating Type I shelf life, and palletization must follow DLA packaging requirements. The adhesives are to be shipped FOB destination with no quantity variance permitted, inspected and accepted at delivery point, and transported via traceable means, explicitly prohibiting parcel post. Delivery is scheduled for 20 days from award, with three separate delivery points: USS CARL M. LEVIN, USS FITZGERALD DDG 62, and a third identical delivery to USS FITZGERALD DDG 62, totaling five transport units. All shipments must reference DLA procedures C19 and C20 for transportation and first destination logistics.
