Full Description

The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences intends to negotiate with the University of Arizona for an additional 2080 direct labor hours of work as part of Contract Number N01-ES-45529, to perform additional testing of the metabolism of benzene in genetically diverse strains of mice. Authority: 41 U.S.C 253(c)(1), as set forth in FAR 6.302-1(b). Inherent duplication of cost to the Government and unacceptable delays in completing the project make competition unfeasible for this final phase of the study, which provides for testing in a more genetically diverse set of test animals.
