Adoption of Amended Rule 42, Permit Fees

The Ventura County Air Pollution Control District is implementing amendments to Rule 42 regarding permit fees, effective July 1, 2025. These revisions include increasing permit renewal fees by 5 percent or more and adjusting fee deposits and minimum processing fees to align with current dollar values. Additionally, the initial late fee will be reduced from 30 percent to 15 percent of the renewal fee. The notice of exemption was signed and filed with the Office of Planning and Research on July 31, 2025.
