Adoption of Resolution No. 25-1248 Levying Replenishment Assessment

The Water Replenishment District of Southern California is levying a replenishment assessment on groundwater production within its jurisdiction for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2025, and ending June 30, 2026, in accordance with Section 60317 of the California Water Code. This assessment is designed to ensure sustainable groundwater management by requiring producers to contribute toward the cost of replenishing and maintaining the aquifer system, thereby promoting long-term water supply reliability. The assessment applies to all groundwater extraction activities occurring within the District during the specified fiscal period and is mandated by state law to support the financial needs of groundwater sustainability efforts. The action is formalized through Resolution No. 25-1248, which has been publicly posted and is accessible via the California Environmental Quality Act notification system.
