The City of Courtenay (the City) is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to gather information from qualified vendors regarding Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) and Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) solutions for utility metering and billing.The intent of this RFI is to:Understand currently available AMI/AMR technologies and approaches; Identify technical capabilities, system architectures, and maturity levels; Explore implementation considerations, costs, risks, and benefits; and Inform the development of a potential future Request for Proposal (RFP).This RFI is not a solicitation for proposals or pricing and does not commit the City to proceed with any procurement. The information provided may be used to refine internal requirements and to inform a future competitive procurement process. The City reserves the right to modify or cancel this RFI at any time.See the attached documentation for further information.
