Advancing Global Health

The Department of State, through its Bureau of Global Health Security and Diplomacy, is soliciting applications for initiatives that advance the America First Global Health Strategy. This strategy is designed to save lives, strengthen health systems worldwide, improve operational efficiency, promote self-reliance among partner nations, and ensure that U.S. investments contribute to national security, strength, and prosperity. The solicitation operates under an Annual Program Statement (APS) framework intended to identify and support projects that either complement existing bilateral Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), extend ongoing efforts, or address gaps in the current implementation of these agreements. Applicants are invited to submit Statements of Interest (SOIs) following the standardized application procedures outlined in the APS. Specific funding priorities and requirements will be communicated through targeted Addenda, which tailor the overall framework to address particular health challenges and priorities identified by U.S. Embassies and other Department of State offices. The solicitation opened on April 30, 2026, and proposals are due by February 14, 2027. This collaborative approach seeks to leverage interagency coordination to enhance global health outcomes and align with U.S. foreign policy goals.
