AEA-0536, VORTAC (ART) Doppler Conversion, Watertown, NY

The FAA is transitioning from an existing VHF Omnidirectional Range (VOR) facility in Watertown, New York, to a new Doppler VORTAC system with an offset TACAN, requiring the complete demolition of the current site and the construction of a fully integrated navigation asset. The Doppler VORTAC will feature an on-site 37’x37’ steel building housing the core equipment, supported by a 60-foot diameter counterpoise integrated into the roof structure, along with full foundation, site preparation, and utility installations. Adjacent to this main structure, an offset TACAN component will be installed as a 16’x16’x20’H walk-up steel tower, accompanied by its own dedicated foundations, site work, and utilities to ensure independent operational capability. The project is being managed by PTSI Managed Services, Inc (Parsons) under contract AEA-0536 and is solicited exclusively for small business set-asides, including categories such as Small Disadvantaged Business, Women-Owned Small Business, HUBZone, Veteran-Owned, and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses.
