Technical requirements for the device include a total system weight under 40 pounds, a volume under 8000 cubic inches, and a battery-powered runtime of 2 to 4 hours. While not mandatory, there is a strong preference for man-portability and ruggedization meeting MIL-STD-810G standards for shock, vibration, and environmental extremes. This is a sources-sought Request for Information for market research purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation for proposals; therefore, no contract will be awarded directly from this announcement. Interested respondents must submit the required company and capability forms by November 16, 2026.
