Award Notice and Notice of Approved Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition. Contract No. FA4890-16-C-0018 Solicitation No. FA4890-16-R-8012 Headquarters, Air Combat Command, Acquisition Management & Integration Center (ACC AMIC) awarded the above contract for AFRICOM ISR Ground Station Equipment on a sole source basis (see attached Justification and Approval) to L-3 Communications Corporation on 28 Sep 2016 in the amount of $3,527,867.00, in support of the United States Africa Command (USAFRICOM) mission requirements in Chad. This requirement is for the procurement of noncommercial ISR equipment to include a SCORPION GSOC transportable ground station, spare parts, and all associated manuals and delivery. The basic delivery schedule is approximately 390 days, and the Government reserves the right to exercise the options if funding becomes available. Three optional items will also be included with this purchase: SCORPION GSOC transportable ground station (option A), SCORPION GSOC transportable ground station (option B), and additional spare parts (option C). Option A is exercised at time of award as funds are available.
