Notice of Contract Action (NOCA) for Agate Steel, Inc. The 149th Fighter Wing, Lackland AFB, TX, intends to award a Sole-Source contract to Agate Steel, Inc.,NEC of Oak And N Country Club Dr, Scottsdale, AZ 85256-0000, to provide a total of 8 sunshades/canopies of varying sizes and dimensions. The anticipated contract will be a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Commercial Purchase Order. The statutory authority which permits other than full and open competition for this acquisition is 10 United States Code (USC) 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(b)(1)(i)-(ii) and FAR 13.106-1(b). This authority is supported by an approved Justification and Approval. It is the Government's intent to proceed with this sole-source action. The applicable NAICS code is 332312. This notice neither constitutes a Request for Quote, Invitation for Bid, or Request for Proposal nor does it restrict the Government in any way to an ultimate acquisition approach. However, In accordance with FAR 5.207, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Responses may be sent via e-mail to matthew.c.vilsack,mil@mail.mil. Information received as a result of this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Air Force not to open the requirement to open competition, based on response to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Air Force. If the office has not received any affirmative written responses by 4:00PM (CST) on 24 August 2018. A Sole Source purchase order will be pursued with Agate Steel Inc.
