THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) The Biotechnology Core Facility Branch (BCFB) within the Division of Core Laboratory and Scientific Resources (DCLSR) intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order to Agilent Technoligies Inc. 2850 Centerville RD Wilmington, Delaware 19808. Under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The purpose of this procurement is procure a service agreement with Agilent for preventative maintenance on the Oligo Pro II.
The contractor shall provide annual preventative maintenance services on the following system

SECTION 4 – TASKS TO BE PERFORMED
- Provide annual equipment maintenance of Agilent Oligo pro II System.
- Provide all labor, travel, and parts with unlimited breakdown calls included
- Provide one scheduled preventative maintenance visit per year which includes a full system diagnostic using software and critical parts exchanged
- Provide priority response for all breakdown calls within 24 to 48 hours
The instrument that is part of the service contract has many proprietary parts manufactured and sold exclusive by the proposed vendor, Agilent technologies. Only Agilent service engineers have access to all the training and parts needed to maintain the instruments at the required service levels.

Capability statements shall not exceed 2 (8.5 x 11 inch) pages using a font size no smaller than 10-point. All capability statements received by the due date of this notice will be considered by the Government. A request for documentation or additional information or submissions that only ask questions will not be considered as an affirmative response. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement or to proceed with a sole source purchase order. Capability statements are due by 3:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST), June 22, 2026.
