The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award a sole source, firm fixed price contract to Agilent Technologies Inc. for annual preventative maintenance services on the Agilent Oligo Pro II system. This contract allows for one scheduled maintenance visit per year, including full diagnostics and critical parts replacement, as well as unlimited breakdown calls with priority response within 24 to 48 hours. Agilent is the exclusive provider due to the proprietary nature of the instrument’s parts and the specialized training required to maintain it. While this is not a solicitation for competitive quotes, interested sources may submit capability statements by June 22, 2026, demonstrating their qualifications and ability to provide warranted services as authorized distributors. Submissions must be concise, emailed to the designated point of contact, and comply with specific formatting requirements; however, the government retains full discretion on whether to proceed with a competitive procurement or sole source purchase.
