Full Description
Bidders may bid on all three scopes of work, or on individual scopes of work. Each Scope must either be completed in full or marked as "No-Bid". Please provide a cost for each location within a Scope section, however award decisions will be based on the total scope cost rather than by individual line item.
If you are providing a cost for the combined scopes of work (Scopes A, B, & C), but would also like to be considered for each individual scope section, please be sure to ALSO complete each of the three individual Scope sections. Include any discounts you are offering for the Combined Scope award.
Olathe Public Schools reserves the right to award to multiple contractors; awards will be determined based on the lowest submitted cost of each scope of work, or on the total cost of all scopes of work combined, in the event that some or all contractors bid on all three scopes of work. A Bid Bond is REQUIRED for bids totaling $50,000 or more. Bidders shall submit with their bid a bid bond issued by a surety company licensed to do business in the State of Kansas in the amount of five percent (5.0%) of the total amount of their bid. Said guarantee shall be made payable to “Unified School District No. 233”. Cash bonds will not be accepted. Bidders shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time. Work is subject to liquidated damages in the amount of $1,000 per calendar day if project is delayed beyond the contracted completion date. SITE VISIT: No interior site visit will be permitted. Bidder may walk the exterior of the property unaccompanied at their own risk after school hours as long as arranged with Heather Tabor in advance. Please note the Architect team and Door Hardware specification consultant conducted inspections and provided accurate counts. Drawings are to scale, and bidders are responsible for determining their own take-offs. Regarding reusing of hardware, bidders should bid based on the hardware schedule/sets in Specifications. The drawings indicate that a site walk at beginning of project is required to determine if any additional hardware can be salvaged/reused as recommended by contractor, but for bidding we would ask bidder to follow the hardware schedule for items noted as "re-use existing". SUBMISSION OF BIDS: Sealed electronic bids for Aging Facilities - Multiple Projects: Interior Doors; Exterior Doors; and Exterior Doors and Windows will be received until 5:00 PM CST on January 24, 2025 at which time the responses will be unsealed/opened. Submission of electronic responses after the specified Due Date/Time are not possible. Bids of any other format will not be accepted. The district is not accepting hand delivered bids.
