The project is for the delivery and storage of up to 10,000 acre-feet of Tulares State Water Project water (SWP Water) to the Rosedale-Tulare Banking and Exchange Program by December 31, 2026, and for recovery of a portion of that stored water less applicable losses through December 31, 2036. For every two acre-feet of Tulares SWP Water delivered for storage, one acre-foot of that water will be retained by Rosedale. Tulare will recover the remaining one-half of its stored water, minus losses, for use in its service area. The Rosedale-Tulare Banking and Exchange Program is in effect through December 31, 2036, or until Tulare has recovered all of its stored water.
