AI Contract Overview
This contract is for the procurement of an air cleaner, intake, identified by NSN 2940-01-415-6363, with a quantity of 32 units to be delivered under solicitation SPE7L1-26-T-897T. The item must be supplied by one of three approved vendors: Cummins Inc. with part number 3924893, Fleetguard Inc. with part number AH19003, or Donaldson Company Inc. with part number B085048. Delivery is required FOB origin within 171 days from the contract date, with zero variance allowed in quantity and inspection and acceptance occurring at the destination. Packaging must comply with MIL-STD-2073-1E and marking must adhere to MIL-STD-129, with no special marking required. Palletization follows DLA packaging requirements, and the shipment destination is the DLA Distribution facility in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania. The contract enforces strict material restrictions to ensure environmental and safety compliance: mercury and mercury-containing compounds are prohibited unless exempted for specific functional uses such as batteries, fluorescent lights in portable instruments, sensors, controls, weapon systems, or NAVSEA-specified reagents, with portable devices requiring shockproof design and secondary containment per NAVSEA 5100-003D. Class I ozone-depleting chemicals are completely banned from incorporation, overriding any conflicting specification requirements, and any proposed substitutes require formal approval unless explicitly authorized. All items must be procured using the DoD authorized unit of issue, and transportation logistics follow DLAD procedural notes C19 and C20. The solicitation was posted on July 30, 2026, with responses due by August 10, 2026, under a federal procurement process managed by the Department of Defense's Land Supply Chain, with primary contact Megan Ruehle.
