Air Defense Capabilities

The Department of Defense is seeking the development of a rapidly deployable ground-based air surveillance and engagement defense system designed to complete the Detect, Track, ID, Defeat (DTID) kill chain against a variety of aerial threats in operational environments. The acquisition will follow a two-step solicitation for a potential multi-phase project through an Other Transaction (OT) agreement for prototype development, in accordance with 10 USC 4022. The solicitation was made available on September 25, 2024, via the UNCLASSIFIED Acquisition Research Center (ARC) website, accessible only to approved registrants, including those who participated in the Industry Day event. Interested parties unable to access the ARC website must contact the Agreements Officer by September 30, 2024, to obtain access. Questions related to the solicitation are to be submitted by October 1, 2024, through the ARC Q&A tab. Phase 1 Step 1 white papers must be submitted no later than October 9, 2024, via the ARC portal. The contract is managed by the Director SCO within the Department of Defense, based in Washington, DC. Joanne Vought is the designated point of contact for this effort. The overall objective is to enhance air defense capabilities with a focus on rapid deployment and effective engagement against aerial threats.
