This effort will look at the re-processing of platform-processed wide-area motion imagery (WAMI) data from both the Gorgon Stare (GS-1/GS-2) and Blue Devil platforms; the net effect is to provide warfighters with a capability for increased motion imagery quality and improved motion imagery exploitation. The re-processed WAMI data must overcome observed image anomalies that plague processed data at the platform level such as jitter, spatial distortion, and atmospheric distortion. The expected output of re-processing WAMI data is a reduced-volume data set achieved through compression approaches where the redundant data is discarded and nominal background imagery is consolidated. Application of enhanced automatic tool overlays such as target tracking also must be available as plug-ins and interfaces to analytical software.
