Request for Information (RFI) for Air Soldier Computer Display System (CDS) THIS IS A RFI ONLY. This is Sources Sought (SS)/Request for Information (RFI) for market research. Information is to be used for preliminary planning purposes in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10. This announcement does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) and does not commit the Government to solicit or award a contract now or in the future. Further, the Army is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Responders are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party's expense. Purpose: The Product Manager Air Warrior (PM AW) is seeking to identify interested contractors capable of manufacture and delivery of qualified Computer and Display Systems (CDS). The responses to this RFI will be used to gather information that may be able to fulfill the PM AW's needs. Background: PM AW has a requirement delineated in the Air Soldier System Capabilities Production Document for improved Situational Awareness for the Army Aviator. PM AW developed and tested a computer and display to be used in the aircraft to fulfill the Air Soldier System requirement for moving maps and messaging. The products meet all airworthiness qualification required for use by Army Aviators and mounting in Army Aviation platforms, specifically UH-60A/Ls. The CDS consists of Mission Display Modules (MDMs), P/N 11173-100-04, Soldier Computer Modules (SCMs), P/N 11174-100-01, and SCM adaptor A3868468-1, CAGE Code 072E5. Support equipment includes a docking station, P/N A7639328-1, Cage Code 072E5 for loading mission specific information onto the SCM. PM AW will purchase low rate initial quantity hardware sole-source from Raytheon in order to qualify the Technical Data Package, which will be utilized for a competitive procurement in late FY18 or FY19.
