NOTICE FOR AIR-TO-GROUND MISSILE SYSTEMS (AGMS) ENGINEERING SERVICES. THIS SYNOPSIS IS PUBLISHED IN ACCORDANCE WITH FAR 5.101 AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL OR INFORMATION.
THE ARMY CONTRACTING COMMAND – REDSTONE ARSENAL HAS A REQUIREMENT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES IN SUPPORT OF THE LASER HELLFIRE AND THE JOINT-AIR-TO-GROUND MISSILE (JAGM) SYTEMS, COLLECTIVELY KNOWN AS THE AGMS FAMILY OF MISSILES, IN SUPPORT OF THE U.S. ARMY, U.S. NAVY, U.S. AIR FORCE, OTHER CUSTOMERS, AND FOREIGN MILITARY SALES CUSTOMERS. THE AGMS ENGINEERING SERVICES WILL CONSIST OF PROGRAM MANAGEMENT, ENGINEERING, PRODUCT ASSURANCE, LOGISTICS, CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT, TEST/EVALUATION, AND PRODUCTION ENGINEERING SUPPORT REQUIRED TO MAINTAIN THE CAPABILITY OF THE AGMS FAMILY OF MISSILES. THE ACQUISITION WILL CONSIST OF A BASE AWARD AND FOUR 12-MONTH OPTION PERIODS FOR A 48-MONTH PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE COMMENCING UPON CONTRACT AWARD. FURTHERMORE, THE ACQUISITION WILL INCLUDE AN ADDITIONAL OPTION PERIOD FOR A SIX-MONTH EXTENSION IN ACCORDANCE WITH FAR 52.217-8, “OPTION TO EXTEND SERVICES”.
THIS REQUIREMENT IS RESTRICTED TO LOCKHEED MARTIN CORPORATION (LMC), 5600 WEST SAND LAKE ROAD, ORLANDO, FL 32819-8907 (CAGE CODE 04939). LMC IS THE SINGLE SOURCE POSSESSING THE UNIQUE KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE REQUIRED TO MANAGE AND UPDATE THE PECULIAR HARDWARE DESIGN, TOOLING, AND TEST/INSPECTION EQUIPMENT REQUIRED TO PRODUCE AND INSPECT THE AGMS FAMILY OF MISSILES TO RESOLVE PROBLEMS PROMPTLY AS THEY OCCUR.
THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. THIS CONTRACT ACTION IS BEING PURSUED ON A SOLE SOURCE BASIS UNDER THE STATUTORY AUTHORITY OF TITLE 10 U.S.C. 3204(A)(1) AS IMPLEMENTED BY FEDERAL ACQUISITION REGULATION 6.103-1, “ONLY ONE RESPONSIBLE SOURCE AND NO OTHER SUPPLIES OR SERVICES WILL SATISFY AGENCY REQUIREMENTS.” INFORMATION PROVIDED HEREIN IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE AND IN NO WAY BINDS THE GOVERNMENT TO SOLICIT OR AWARD A CONTRACT.
