Full Description

This is a Sole Source requirement to EADS North America Defense Company, 1616 North Ft Myer Dr, Suite 1500, Arlington, VA 22209-3100. The Government has a requirement to provide UH-72A aircraft that will successfully meet the mission and concept of operations delineated in Field Manual 3-04.119 (Security and Support Helicopter Battalions) and conduct Medical Evacuation operations. In order to provide this capability, the aircraft must undergo modifications. These modifications include removal of the rear facing troop seat; one P2000 radio; two P2000 antennas and installation of a centerline mount; multifunctional step; searchlight fixed provisions; cockpit screen mounts; cockpit touch screens; moving map; digital video recorder; video uplink/downlink; aft ballast kit fixed provisions; club seat; camera system; searchlight; cabin touch screen; operator station, and the aft ballast kit. The Contractor shall install the S&S MEP in accordance with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and Original Equipment Manufacturers processes and procedures. The Government requires the retrofit of up to forty five (45) aircraft with the S&S MEP. The retrofit quantities consist of approximately twenty (20) aircraft for the current year, Program Year (PY) 05 as well as retrofit options for up to twenty five (25) aircraft in PYs 06-10.
