Full Description

Notice of Contract Action (NOCA) for Fairbanks Scales Inc. The AFTC Contracting Squadron (AFTC/PZIOC), Edwards AFB CA, intends to award a sole-source contract to Fairbanks Scales Inc., 821 Locust Street, Kansas City, MO 64106, to inspect, maintain, repair and calibrate the aircraft scale system located at Hangar 1830, Edwards AFB, CA. The anticipated contract will be a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) , Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract. The statutory authority which permits other than full and open competition for this acquisition is 10 United States Code (USC) 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(A), as required by FAR 6.303-2(b)(4). This authority is supported by an approved Justification and Approval. It is the Government's intent to proceed with this sole-source action.The applicable NAICS code is 811219. This notice neither constitutes a Request for Quote, Invitation for Bid, or Request for Proposal and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. No costs will be paid for any charges incurred in responding to this notice. However, in accordance with FAR 5.207, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Responses may be sent via e-mail to ryan.coney@us.af.mil or charles.richardson.16@us.af.mil. Information received as a result of this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Air Force not to open the requirement to open competition, based on the response to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Air Force.
