Airport Improvement Projects For FAA Unclassified Airports

The Oklahoma Aeronautics Commission (OAC), in collaboration with various Oklahoma cities, is seeking qualified consulting firms to provide comprehensive design and construction services for airport improvement projects at 15 FAA unclassified airports within the state. The scope of work includes a range of infrastructure enhancements such as pavement rehabilitation, airfield lighting upgrades, safety area improvements, obstruction removal, and drainage system enhancements. The selected consultants will serve as the Engineer of Record, overseeing all project phases from initial planning and design through construction, including incidental services necessary for successful project completion. The procurement process is qualification-based, focusing on the firms’ experience, capabilities, understanding of project requirements, and past performance, with no cost proposals requested at this stage. Submissions of Statements of Qualifications are due by April 8, 2019, with the possibility of interviews for shortlisted firms. Funding for these projects is contingent upon federal, state, and local sources, and the Oklahoma Department of Aerospace and Aeronautics (ODAA) reserves the right to reject any or all submissions.
