This announcement constitutes public notice of Air Force Test Center (AFTC)/PZIEB Edwards AFB, CA intent to award a sole-source, Firm-Fixed Price contract to Kiffer Industries, Inc., 4905 Rocky River Dr, Cleveland, OH 44135-3245 for the purchase of one (1) Each Advanced Kiffer System (AKS) Accu-kut Plasma Cutting System. This requirement will be negotiated on an other than full and open competition basis in accordance with 41 USC 1901, as implemented by FAR 13.501(a)(ii). Interested persons may respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the government will consider all proposals received within three days after the date of publication of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This synopsis is published for informational purposes only. The proposed source, Kiffer Industries, Inc., is the only known manufacturer. This combined synopsis/solicitation incorporates the provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-76 and DPN 20140828.
