The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) intends to make a brand name or equal, single award contract action for the acquisition of seventy-five (75) Allied Telesis AT-8088-SC network switches. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subparts 12.6 and 13.5, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and the Government does not intend to issue a written solicitation. This solicitation is being issued as Request for Quotation (RFQ) RFQ-NAS-0230-2009. The Provisions and Clauses incorporated are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-32. This requirement is for seventy-five (75) (brand name or equal) Allied Telesis AT-8088-SC network switches. The salient characteristics are as follows: 8-port 100FX MMF 1310 nm and 8-port 10/100TX managed switch with SC connectors plus 2 expansion bays, layer 2 switch. The BOP will award a contract in accordance with the Provisions of FAR 13.5. All responsible sources may submit a quote which will be considered by the agency.
