The project involves maintaining over 50 miles of canals, with a primary focus on main drainage canals connected to reservoirs and those upstream of discharge points. The resulting contract will have a three-year term, and the award will be granted to the responsive and responsible bidder offering the lowest total price based on unit costs for canal cleaning, right-of-way vegetation clearing, and chemical spraying of aquatic vegetation. To be considered responsive, physical bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope by October 14, 2026, and include a completed ITB acknowledgement form, price sheet, references form, and the mandatory responsive requirements form. Performance standards are stringent, requiring a minimum 95 percent kill rate and 95 percent treatment coverage for chemical applications, with the contractor responsible for remediation of failed areas at their own expense. Work is restricted during quota hunts and must be performed between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
