The following questions were asked this morning. First the question then the answer. Q1) My team advises that the tension of the cables will eventually warp the birch plywood panels. The panels need to be mounted with more secure fastening cleats instead of the hardware specified in the SOW. A1) The 3/4 panels will be sufficient. They will be secured to the walls and will not warp. Q2) Auditorium, aluminum typography panels, will the blue acrylic be opaque or transparent? The transparent acrylic is more expensive. A2) Transparent Q3) Auditorium, my team advises that we use a more secure mounting system for the 12 large panels. Is that acceptable? A3) We will need to be able to pull and move easily so pinch cleats (as in our original SOW and drawings) are appropriate. Q4) Auditorium, back wall, please confirm that the cables will go from floor-to-ceiling. Also, can you please tell me the approximate height of the ceiling? A4) Everything was specified in the drawings in the SOW. Q5) Based on our site visit, we are bidding the project with "C" prints on all the back panels, rather than plain black. Is that appropriate? A5) Where and what are they asking about? There are several areas. Q6) Are we required to hang the envelopes at the time of installation? If so, will the AFB provide a layout? Additional days of installation will be required if there is no layout and the AFB opts to "art direct" placement of envelopes at the time of installation. A6) They will be required to hang them. Even number on each side as specified in the drawings and SOW.
