Project Description: This project consists of performing necessary design, manufacturing, and field inspection of the failed Oahe Unit 2 generator main leads, pre-repair testing of the stator windings, replacement of the failed main lead components including those brazed to the circuit rings, replacement of the damaged main lead baffle plate, re-insulation, and post-repair testing. All materials required to repair or replace the main leads, including copper bus, brazing filler metal, insulation materials, ties, blocking, insulation surface treatments, etc. are to be provided by the Contractor. All testing equipment including insulation resistance, digital low resistance ohm meter, and DC Ramp test equipment and qualified test equipment operators are to be supplied by the contractor. The estimated construction cost of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000.
