Amendment to Variance V 7-25/26-01 for a telecommunications facility

Plumas County has issued an amendment to Variance V 7-25/26-01 to facilitate the construction of a sixty-four foot monopole as part of a new telecommunications facility located within an existing site at 148 Lake Almanor West Drive, California. This variance allows for a significant reduction in required setbacks, decreasing the front property line requirement from eighty-nine feet to no less than twenty feet on the western boundary, and establishing a minimum fifteen foot setback for the northern, eastern, and southern boundaries. The project is supported by a California Environmental Quality Act Notice of Exemption filed on September 15, 2026, which cites a Categorical Exception under Section 15305 Class 5. Additionally, the facility requires a Special Use Permit, identified as U 9-25/26-04, to authorize the specific use of the monopole.
