The action taken by the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) to conditionally amend the Master Plan of Arterial Highways (MPAH) within the City of Dana Point. The proposed amendment will become final, contingent upon OCTA receiving documentation confirming that the City of Dana Point has amended their general plan accordingly. OCTA will amend the MPAH as follows:
1) Reclassify Del Prado Avenue between Pacific Coast Highway (West) and Copper Lantern from a secondary (four-lane, divided) to a divided collector (two-lane, divided).
2) Reclassify Crown Valley Parkway between Pacific Coast Highway and Camino Del Avion from a major (six-lane, divided) to a primary (four-lane, divided).
3) Reclassify Niguel Road between Pacific Coast Highway and Camino Del Avion from a major (six-lane, divided) to a primary (four-lane, divided).
4) Reclassify Selva Road between Pacific Coast Highway and Chula Vista Avenue from an undivided collector (two-lane, undivided) to a divided collector (two-lane, divided) arterial.
5) Reclassify Street of the Golden Lantern between Pacific Coast Highway and Camino Del Avion from a major (six-lane, divided) to a primary (four-lane, divided) arterial.
6) Reclassify Coast Highway between Doheny Park Road and Palisades Drive from a primary (four-lane, divided) to a divided collector (two-lane, divided) arterial.
7) Reclassify Pacific Coast Highway between Crown Valley Parkway and Del Prado Avenue (West) from a major (six-lane, divided) to a primary (four-lane, divided) arterial.
8) Reclassify Pacific Coast Highway between Del Prado Avenue (West) and Del Prado Avenue (East)/Copper Lantern Street from a secondary (four-lane, undivided) to a primary (four-lane, divided) arterial.
9) Reclassify Coast Highway Connector between San Juan Creek Trail and Doheny Park Road from a primary (four-lane, divided) to an undivided collector (one-lane, undivided) arterial.
10) Delete Dana Point Harbor Drive between Golden Lantern Street and western terminus.
11) Reclassify Camino De Estrella from a primary (four-lane, divided) to a divided collector (two-lane, divided) arterial between Camino Capistrano and Calle Hermosa.
