STATEMENT OF WORK OR REQUIREMENTNRC ACRD has a requirement for the supply of an anaerobic chamber, which must meet all ofthe mandatory technical requirements as specified below. The requirement must include all of thefollowing:The requirement is for one anaerobic chamber workstation to support the manipulation ofmicrobes in a controlled environment – specifically for an oxygen-free environment wheresamples can be handled directly by hand, without gloves.? The workstation needs to have an enclosed environment for the manipulation of culturesusing 2 arms? The workstation needs to include a purpose-built stand, so the user can sit in front of it? The chamber must have a gloveless sleeve design, so arms reach into the chamber witha seal around the user’s arms? The chamber in the workstation needs to be capable of reaching 10 ppm of oxygen orlower (“anaerobic”) when sitting undisturbed? There is a requirement that the chamber remains anaerobic while accompanying gascylinders are changed? There is a requirement for an integrated vacuum pump for evacuating the air inside thechamber, to replace it with inert gas? There is a requirement for an audible and visual alarm for low gas supply? There is a requirement for the chamber to accommodate 600 standard-sized petri platesfor incubation? The chamber size needs to be at minimum 16 cubic feet? There needs to be a clear/transparent window so the user can inspect the samples? The chamber needs to have temperature control between 5 to 70 degrees Celsius? The chamber should include HEPA filters for air purification, that can be replaced by theuser? The unit must have a North American standard compatible power system (120-240 VAC,50/60Hz)? The unit must meet all applicable Canadian Standard Association (CSA) or Underwriters'Laboratories of Canada (ULC) standards.Contract obligations:1) InstallationNot applicable2) ManualsThe Contractor must deliver 1 complete set of Documentation, in English with the deliverables.This documentation must include all publications pertaining to technical specifications, installationrequirements and operating instructions.3) TrainingNot applicable4) Maintenance and Support ServicesThe Contractor must provide at minimum a 2 year warranty on the chamber
