The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences NIEHS), Research Triangle Park, NC intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Andor Technology, South Windsor, CT 06074, pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1)--Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Award is subject to Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition (JOFOC) approval. This purchase is for the following items: (Upgrade of Laser Parts)- (1 EACH PER ITEM-)1)- LM-561-50, 50mW 561 nm laser for ILE; 2)- LM-488-50-50Mw 488nm laser for ILE; 3)-LC-ILE-401,4 line single mode ILE; 4)-CR-BORS-10, CSU10 Borealis Square Upgrade; 5)-IQ-UPGR-23X, iQ2.x to 3.x upgrade; 6)-CR-DMDL-568, T488/568 Dual DM; 7)-TR-F523-610, Semrock bandpass filter FF01-523/610-O25; 8)-TR-F525-040, Single band FF01-525/40-25 Filter; 9)-TR-F607-036, Single band FF01-607/396-25 Filter; 10)-Installation. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no affirmative responses are received within 8 days of this notice to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, an order will be placed with Andor Technologies.
