The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) is seeking bids from certified small business vendors for a non-exclusive, on-call contract to perform hand mowing, trimming, and litter pickup along designated sections of MD 261 and MD 794 in Anne Arundel County. The contract aims to address routine roadside maintenance within the specified areas, with work to be carried out as needed under the supervision of the Annapolis Maintenance Shop. The procurement emphasizes that the contract does not encompass all work in the area, and other contractors may be performing similar tasks independently. The solicitation is part of a Small Business Reserve Program, requiring bidders to meet specific statutory and registration criteria. Interested vendors must submit questions by May 8, 2024, and bids by May 14, 2024, to the designated address at the Annapolis Maintenance Shop. All inquiries and bid submissions are to be made in writing; oral or electronic bids are not accepted. The contract value is estimated to range between $50,000 and $150,000, and the project is managed by the Maryland State Highway Administration, with Daniel Jeffers serving as the primary contact. The process is designed to ensure fair competition among qualified small business vendors for roadside maintenance services in the specified Maryland regions.
