Anne Rudin Preserve Williamson Act Contract (APB)

The Anne Rudin Preserve Williamson Act Contract (APB), identified by control number PLNP2024-00093, is a project managed by Sacramento County to amend existing Agricultural Preserve contract 2004-AP-005. The project involves merging 56.38 acres in the AG-40 zone of the Cummings Preserve with 53.33 acres in the AG-40 zone of the Anne Rudin Preserve, resulting in a total agricultural preserve of 109.71 acres. The additional 53.33-acre portion consists of 12.47 acres of upland crop and 40.36 acres of open space. Located in the Natomas community of unincorporated Sacramento County, approximately 1.1 miles southeast of the intersection of Del Paso Road and Power Line Road, the project is being carried out by The Natomas Basin Conservancy. It has been granted a categorical exemption under CEQA Guidelines Section 15317 for Open Space Contracts or Easements, as the project maintains the open space character of the land and presents no significant environmental or historic impacts. Administrative oversight is provided by Julie Newton, the Environmental Coordinator for Sacramento County, and Jennifer Skupic of The Natomas Basin Conservancy.
