The Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences is seeking a master agreement for the comprehensive inspection, testing, and maintenance of twenty-six fire extinguishers located at their Montgomery facility. The contract primarily covers annual fire extinguisher inspections scheduled for December 2025, with the supplier required to provide a detailed list of non-standard services such as 6-year and hydrostatic testing, which will be due for each unit during the subsequent year's inspections in December 2026. Specifically, four fire extinguishers (two 5-pound ABC and two 10-pound ABC units) require 6-year testing, while two 10-pound ABC units need hydrostatic testing. The contractor must also perform any additional parts and services necessary to ensure all equipment remains operational by the end of December 2025. Pricing should be submitted on the designated item lines, and the agency emphasizes that the awarded contract must align with their budget constraints. The solicitation, posted on October 23, 2025, with a response deadline of October 28, 2025, falls under NAICS code 339999 and is managed by the Alabama state agency. The estimated contract value ranges between $2,000 and $5,000. The agency’s procurement process considers budget limitations when awarding the contract, and interested vendors can access further details through the provided online link.
