The United States Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center is seeking quotations for the procurement of 150 corrosion-preventing anodes for propellers, identified by NSN 5340-01-627-8941. This requirement is being handled as a firm fixed price contract under simplified acquisition procedures, with an expected award based on the lowest price technically acceptable criteria. The procurement is classified as a likely recompete opportunity, with the current incumbent identified as Michigan Wheel Operations, LLC. The potential end date for the current contract arrangement is October 30, 2026. Prospective vendors must adhere to strict packaging, packing, and marking requirements, specifically following MIL-STD-2073-1E and MIL-STD-129R standards, including specific bar-coding protocols. Standard commercial packaging is explicitly unacceptable, and failure to meet these precise specifications may result in the rejection of items and delayed payments. While the brand name part is mandatory for consideration, the Coast Guard may accept equivalent products that meet all specified physical and functional characteristics. Interested parties must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM.gov) and submit quotations by the deadline of August 31, 2026, at 10:00 am Eastern Standard Time.
