Approval of First Amendment to Revenue Lease Agreement (First Amendment) with Care-A-Van, Inc., at the Hemet Service Center

Riverside County has entered into a First Amendment to a Revenue Lease Agreement with Care-A-Van, Inc., a California non-profit organization. The agreement concerns the Hemet Service Center, a County-owned facility located at 749 State Street in Hemet, California. Care-A-Van, which has occupied the facility since 2011, provides essential low- and no-cost transportation services to disabled individuals, seniors, and low-income residents in the Lake Elsinore, Hemet, and San Jacinto areas. The primary purpose of this amendment is to correct the lease term dates. The modified agreement establishes a five-year term that is applied retroactively from January 1, 2024, and terminates on December 31, 2028. This administrative change is limited to the modification of the term and does not increase the site's capacity or the intensity of its use. Consequently, the project has been granted a Notice of Exemption under the California Environmental Quality Act, as no additional direct or indirect physical environmental impacts are anticipated.
