On July 17, 2007, the County of Riverside (County) entered into a Lease Agreement with Gary L. Carlton and Wendy Carlton, Trustees of the Gary and Wendy Carlton Living Trust dated August 14, 2001 (Lessor), for approximately 38,286 square feet of office space located at 901 Ramsey Street, Banning, California 92220 (Lease), for use by DPSS. The Lease (June 14, 2007, M.O. 3.76) has since been amended by: a First Amendment, effective July 1, 2008, revising the tenant improvement scope (M.O. 3.41); a Second Amendment, dated February 5, 2013, extending the term (M.O. 3.32); and a Third Amendment, further extending the term (August 27, 2019, M.O. 3.57). The facility continues to meet the operational needs of DPSS and supports the delivery of essential public services to the surrounding community, and as such, DPSS will be exercising the first of its two options to extend the Lease. The approval of the option to extend the Lease Agreement with Lessor, is defined as the proposed project under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). The project is the extension of term involving existing facilities; no expansion of the existing facility will occur. The operation of the facility will continue to provide public social services. No additional direct or indirect physical environmental impacts are anticipated. Project Number: FM042130003000
