The contract involves a sole source follow-on agreement for the Apriva Mobile Endpoint Security Architecture (MESA) Virtual Private Network (VPN) License Agreement and Engineering Support Services. This effort supports the Department of Defense Mobility Classified Capability (DMCC) – Secret level end user devices, encompassing legacy hardware such as Samsung Galaxy S20 and S7 Tablet with custom read-only memory, Windows Data-at-Rest Dell models 7320 and 7210, and HP ProBook G4 and G5 laptops. Apriva's VPN is uniquely compliant with the National Security Agency’s Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) program and is currently the only VPN solution compatible with the existing DMCC-Secret Secure Mobile Device Gateways architecture and these legacy devices. The contract authorizes the government to use Apriva's VPN gateways and associated Secure Mobile Device Gateway (SMDG) testing facilities critical to maintaining secure communications on classified mobile devices. Initially, Apriva MESA VPN was the sole NSA CSfC-approved standards-based Internet Protocol Security VPN available for these government requirements, underscoring the need for continued licensing and engineering support services. The solicitation, managed by the Department of Defense It Contracting Division at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois, is open for responses until late May 2026 and aligns with the NAICS code 541511 for custom computer programming services. The contract aims to ensure uninterrupted secure mobile communication capabilities for Secret-level classified operations within the Armed Forces in America.
