Full Description
The United States Embassy is pleased to announce the 2022 Annual Program Statement (APS). The APS makes funding available for cultural and exchange programs that strengthen ties between the United States and Italy, highlight shared values, and promote bilateral cooperation. The APS is a best practice utilized by many U.S. embassies around the world to solicit proposals for funding via an open and transparent competition process.
The United States Embassy invites proposals from all qualified individuals and organizations. All programs must include a significant American cultural element and/or a connection with American experts, organizations or institutions in a specific field that will promote increased understanding of U.S. foreign policy and perspectives. The deadline for submission of proposals is March 31, 2022.
***Please carefully read our Priority Program Areas and the Evaluation Criteria below: proposals which do not match our priorities will not be considered for funding.
Please note that for the 2022 APS, the maximum request for funding will be $100,000. The U.S. Embassy may award smaller amounts than the full proposal, as deemed appropriate. The U.S. Embassy also strongly encourages proposals with cost-sharing.

- between the United States and Italy;
- Human Rights: Innovatively promoting human rights through education and the arts;
- American Studies, to include university linkages.
