The Owner is developing the 2026 DC Water Valve Replacement Program project, involving the replacement of 13 valves and 3 hydrants with associated service valves during the 2026 construction season in Phase #1 and Phase #2. Additionally, Phase #3 pricing and schedule will dictate if Aquatera will add the remaining 7 valves. Additional valve replacement work may be awarded under this RFP in the 2027 – 2030 seasons. The contractor's scope includes: •Mobilization/Demobilization, •Supply/maintenance of all necessary traffic control to complete the job during construction activities, •All locates and any required hydro-vac, •All required notifications with impacted customers and coordination with Aquatera’s Distribution/Collection Department and Engineering, •Excavation an backfill, •Material supply, inclusive of valves, bolts, hardware, and consumables, •All required commissioning and testing per Aquatera Utilities Inc standards, and •Repair of all Asphalt, Concrete and landscaped surfaces to the City of Grande Prairie or County of Grande Prairie Specifications and includes all geotechnical testing.
