NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE. Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC), Arnold AFB TN intends to award a five-year sole source requirements contracts to Neodora LLC (CAGE: 72FF1), 312 Brokaw Rd, Santa Clara, CA 95050. This requirement is for High Temperature Laboratory (HTL) spare parts. These components are required for construction and operation of high temperature material testing facilities. The items to be furnished are water-cooled components 8 to 10 inches in diameter, 0.5 inch thick and fabricated from oxygen-free high conductivity copper. These items may be requested individually or in the form of assemblies, ready for inspection and installation. The components are specifically designed and fabricated to withstand the extreme environment imposed by the materials testing process. The components are designed to survive heating rates of 4500 Btu/ft2-sec at gas pressures of 170 atm. The components must also withstand up to 1000 psi of internal cooling water pressure without deformation. This synopsis is approved for sole source contract action as authorized in FAR 6.302-1 (supplies or services are considered to be available from only one source). No solicitation package will be issued. However, all interested sources may identify their interest, but must provide proof of capability to manufacture acceptable products by submitting detailed descriptions of their capability to manufacture similar components for similar facilities or industries. Only responses containing this data will be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Award will not be made on the basis of responses received to this synopsis. If no favorable responses are received by the date and time specified in the details section of this notice, a contract will be negotiated with the above named source.
