Architect Services for St. Martin Elevator and Stairwell Addition

The London District Catholic School Board is soliciting architectural services for the construction of a new elevator and stairwell addition at St. Martin Catholic Elementary School in London. The project scope includes site preparation, reinforced concrete foundations, the installation of a commercial-grade barriered elevator with Keyscan card access, and the construction of a code-compliant stairwell. All work must adhere to the Ontario Building Code, CSA B44 elevator standards, and Bill 72 requirements. The architectural consultant is responsible for multiple phases, including schematic design, design development, construction documents, permits and approvals, and bidding and negotiation services. Eligible bidders must be pre-qualified architectural consultants and are required to attend a mandatory site visit on October 22 to be considered. Submissions must be electronic and are due by November 10, 2026, at 2:00 PM. Mandatory documentation includes WSIB certification and certificates for general, auto, and professional liability insurance. Additionally, all personnel with direct access to students must provide criminal background and vulnerable sector checks. The contract utilizes a lump sum pricing model, and the board reserves the right to reject any or all proposals at its discretion. Payment is typically issued approximately 30 days after receipt of a detailed invoice containing a valid purchase order and HST registration number.
