Dane County Job Center and Northport Offices Remodel - Design
Solicitation # 326029
The Dane County Department of Public Works Engineering is seeking architectural and engineering design services for the remodel of the Dane County Job Center and the Human Services Northport Offices. The project aims to consolidate county operations by relocating the Aging and Disability Resource Center and the Veterans Service Office into the Job Center, while renovating the Northport Offices to support reunification and visitation services. A primary focus of the design is to create accessible, welcoming, and private environments that accommodate diverse needs, including those of individuals with mobility, sensory, and cognitive impairments, as well as veterans with PTSD or other health challenges. The selected firm will be responsible for coordinated design, bidding, and construction phase services, delivering the project through two separate construction bid packages. The scope of work encompasses five phases: schematic design for the Veterans Service Office, design development, construction documents, bidding, and construction phase support. Due to the priority nature of the project, an expedited schedule is anticipated, requiring the firm to demonstrate sufficient capacity and resources to advance multiple components concurrently. Proposals are evaluated on a weighted system focusing on firm experience and personnel, compliance and quality assurance, technical approach and schedule, and cost proposal. Award is contingent upon final budget approval and funding availability. The project requires strict adherence to local building codes, ADA standards, and county civil rights and affirmative action policies.
