Architectural Services - Atlantic High - CTE Building Addition - Project No. 2748314

This is a Summary of the request for Architectural Services for the Project herein; reference the RFQ and any/all other documents and information pertaining to the Project as contained in this solicitation.
Pursuant to Florida Statute 255.103 and 287.055, Consultants` Competitive Negotiations Act (CCNA) and State Requirements for Educational Facilities (SREF), the School Board of Volusia County Florida hereby publicly announces the need to procure Architectural services for Atlantic High, CTE Building Addition, Project No.2748314, located at 1250 Reed Canal Road, Port Orange, Florida 32129. The estimated construction cost is $12,000,000.
The specified services shall include all types and manner of professional services related to architectural services including, but not limited to, complete architectural design services, school campus planning, landscape architecture, civil engineering, mechanical, electrical, fire protection, irrigation and plumbing engineering, construction administration, estimating and interior design.
The anticipated scope of the project consists of a new building addition to house three Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs to include all necessary instruction and facility requirements. Program 1 is for manufacturing and industrial technology to include a manufacturing lab for approximately twelve commercial and industrial workstations, a classroom and all related supporting spaces. Program 2 is for aviation and aerospace technology to include a large hangar-style instructional lab, and two classrooms of which one is anticipated to accommodate twenty-four aviation simulators and all related supporting spaces. Program 3 is for architecture and construction to include a large construction/trades learning lab with flexible instructional workstations for major trades, two general classrooms and all related supporting spaces.
Firm shall be responsible for all services as set forth in the architectural services contract document; draft document attached to this RFQ. The School Board reserves the right to negotiate contract terms with selected Firm prior to execution, at its discretion.
The size, scope, and complexity of the Project under this contract will be determined based upon specific requirements of the Project as determined by School Board representatives and/or designated architect/engineers that are involved with the Project.
A current Certificate of Qualification is required to meet the minimum qualifications necessary to be considered for Architectural services pursuant to the RFQ.
