Area 43/270 Perimeter Wall and Gate Replacement

The project involves the complete demolition and reconstruction of the perimeter boundary wall at Area 43/270, accompanied by a range of site upgrades to enhance security and durability. Work initiates with the installation of a temporary iron-sheet fence topped with razor wire to secure the site, followed by removal of the existing wall, clearing of vegetation and roots, and debris disposal. Construction proceeds with excavation to 900mm depth, concrete blinding, and installation of reinforced strip footings, structural columns, and horizontal beams at mid-height and top levels. The wall structure consists of 200mm reinforced hollow blockwork with integrated vertical and horizontal reinforcement, finished with plaster, roughcast, silicone primer, and weatherproof paint, while foundation walls receive bituminous coating for moisture protection. New razor wire is installed along the entire perimeter, including the main gate, which is a custom-fabricated 3.50m x 2.75m sliding vehicle gate with a built-in pedestrian door, heavy-duty hardware, peep hole, and concertina wire, all fabricated to ASTM standards. Additional improvements include brick-lined perimeter drainage with catch pits and uPVC piping, repairs to the guard house covering roof, door relocation, electrical upgrades, and drainage enhancements, restoration of the screen wall, and installation of security lighting at the gate area. Final phases involve comprehensive site cleanup, landscape restoration, utility repairs, and repainting of affected surfaces.
