Arm Fire Initiator Remanufacture

This contract is for the essential remanufacture of C-17 Arm Fire Initiators under a Firm Fixed Price arrangement, with the Department of Defense through the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Hill Air Force Base, Utah. The solicitation, numbered FA8213-26-R-3030, is limited to qualified sources and requires detailed technical and price proposals that include manufacturing processes, quality control procedures, work breakdown structures, schedules with milestones, and a comprehensive list of subcontractors. The contractor is required to maintain an ISO 9001:2015 certified quality system, disposition all residual materials at their own expense, and seal ports and vents per MIL-C-5501. Delivery of 177 units of the Propellant Actuated Initiator and 350 C-17 Arm Fire Initiators is required within 18 months of contract award, with partial or expedited deliveries permitted at no additional cost. All shipments must be FOB destination and comply with barcoding and identification requirements, including the Air Force project designator code and warranty conditions. A significant portion of payment is withheld until CDRLs A001, A004, and A005 are approved, and testing must adhere to a Government-approved Lot Acceptance Test Plan submitted and approved 90 calendar days prior to testing, with a maximum lot size of 400 assemblies plus test assets.
