Full Description

The U.S. Special Operations Command, Technology Applications Program Office anticipates contracting with BAE Systems Aerospace & Defense Group, Inc., 7822 South 46th Street Phoenix, Arizona 85044, for two (2) each Armored Crew Seat, P/N 112404-1, with a tilt capability utilized on the MH-60 aircraft fielded for USSOCOM. The proposed action is for supplies for which the Government does not own specifications and drawings to permit full and open competition. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1. Firms that recognize and can provide the supplies are encouraged to identify themselves. This notice of intent is not a request for a competitive proposal; however, the Government will consider all proposals received by the specified due date IAW FAR 5.203 (a). A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition is solely within the discretion of the Government. The North American Industrial Classification Code is 336413; the business size is 1000 employees. The estimated release date of the solicitation is 23 December 2009. You may request a copy, via email, from al.j.elder@us.army.mil. Foreign firms must request a copy through their embassy. The estimated delivery date of the pilot seats is August 2010. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. The purchase will be made as a non-commercial buy under FAR Part 13. Numbered Note 22 is applicable to the Request for proposal.
