Army Contracting Command - Warren, Next Generation Ground Combat Vehicle Prototype

The US Army TARDEC is initiating a significant multi-year, multimillion-dollar project to develop the next generation ground combat vehicle (NGCV). This initiative involves a collaborative effort among teams composed of engineering entities from industry, academic institutions, and defense sectors, with a focus on designing and integrating advanced technologies into a prototype combat vehicle platform. The procurement will be conducted under the Detroit Arsenal Automotive Other Transaction Agreement (DA2 OTA), administered through the Defense Automotive Technologies Consortium (DATC) in partnership with US Army TARDEC and the Army Contracting Command at Warren. Only organizations that are members of DATC are eligible to participate. The solicitation process began with an Industry Day in March 2017, followed by the release of a draft request for white papers in April 2017, and a final request in May 2017, aiming for contract awards by September 2017. The project is managed from the Detroit Arsenal in Michigan, with key contacts available for consortium membership, procurement information, and industry day registration. This effort represents a critical step toward modernizing the Army’s combat vehicle capabilities by leveraging innovative technology integration and collaborative development among a select group of qualified defense and industry partners.
