The City of Vista is seeking qualified traffic/transportation engineering firms to provide as-needed professional traffic engineering services over a three-year period, with options for two additional one-year extensions. The selected firm(s) will enter into a non-exclusive Master Consulting Agreement, with services not to exceed $600,000 per agreement over the term. The scope includes a wide range of tasks such as developing solutions for traffic calming, designing signing, marking, striping, and traffic signal improvements, preparing grant applications, reviewing traffic impact studies for private developments, performing various traffic studies (corridor, complete street plans, operations, safety analysis), conducting community engagement, and troubleshooting/upgrading traffic signal communication systems. The consultant must have strong in-house capabilities, with limited reliance on subconsultants. Work will be task-based, with scope and fees negotiated for each task.
