Full Description

Dredging and Placement of dredged material from the Ashtabula River in the Government-furnished Open Lake Placement Site and Upland Placement Site as shown on the contract drawings. Work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, material and equipment necessary to remove and dispose of approximately 128,600 cubic yards of dredged material from the Ashtabula River, Ashtabula, Ohio in strict accordance with the Plan & Specifications. This solicitation is a HubZone small business set-aside Estimated price is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000 A Bid Guarantee shall be submitted with bid in order to be considered responsive. The amount of the guarantee shall be 20 percent of the bid price or $3,000,000 whichever is less. Wage Determintation is IL120018, dated 1/06/2012 A pre-bid meeting will be held on 22 May 2012 at 10am EST. Please see clause 52.236-27 for instructions. Contract award will be subject to availability of funds, receipt of 401 Water Quality Certification, and the Government's ability to obtain necessary real estate. Award will be based on lowest price, however the government reserves the right to award to the lowest bidder on EITHER bid schedule. Bid bonding is based on the higher of the two bid schedule prices.
