Athletic Field Sports Lighting - LED Upgrade - Design-Build

The School District of Greenville County is soliciting proposals for a design-build project to upgrade athletic field sports lighting to color-changing LED systems at 14 high school athletic fields, with the potential to add Fountain Inn High School. The scope of work includes photometric design, structural evaluation of poles, removal of existing systems, and the installation of LED fixtures and control systems in compliance with IES RP-6-15, IBC, and NFPA 101 standards. The project also requires the provision of emergency lighting via battery inverters and adherence to dark-sky zoning and local lighting ordinances. The resulting contract will have a period of performance of up to two years from the date of award, with proposed construction windows starting as early as November 2026. Contractors must provide performance and payment bonds, proof of insurance, and resumes for key personnel, including a project manager, design engineers, and licensed electricians. Payment will be processed via P-Card or ACH upon the achievement of agreed-upon milestones, subject to the availability of budgeted funds.
